Must go in Mykonos if you love sushi. We were so blown away, we went twice during our trip to Mykonos.
Vibes and ambiance were fab, although the tables are a little close together, hard to get in and out.
Nevertheless, the food was immaculate, great service.
During my recent trip to Mykonos, I had the pleasure of dining at Tokyo Joe, a Japanese restaurant that had received rave reviews on TripAdvisor.
The first thing that struck me about Tokyo Joe was the modern and stylish decor. The restaurant was spacious and airy, with plenty of comfortable seating options. There was also a large sushi bar, where you could watch the chefs at work.
Of course, the food was the main event at Tokyo Joe, and it did not disappoint. My dining companion and I started with the edamame, which was perfectly steamed and seasoned. We also ordered a few sushi rolls, including the spicy tuna and the dragon roll. Both were outstanding, with fresh and flavorful fish.
Next up was the miso soup, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was rich and savory, with plenty of tofu and seaweed. It was a great way to warm up on a cool Mykonos evening.
For our main course, we decided to split the teriyaki salmon and the beef tataki. Both were cooked to perfection, with tender and flavorful meat. The salmon was glazed with a sweet and savory sauce that was a perfect complement to the fish, while the beef tataki was served with a tangy ponzu sauce that brought out the flavors of the meat.
Throughout the meal, the service was outstanding. Our server was attentive and friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed. He also made great recommendations on dishes and sake pairings.
One thing that really stood out to me about Tokyo Joe was the attention to detail. Every dish was beautifully presented, with carefully arranged garnishes and sauces. The sushi rolls were also expertly crafted, with unique and flavorful combinations.
The only downside of the meal was the price, which was on the high side. However, given the quality of the food and the overall experience, we felt that it was worth it. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, so we definitely didn’t leave hungry!
Overall, I would highly recommend Tokyo Joe to anyone visiting Mykonos. The food is outstanding, the service is top-notch, and the ambiance is beautiful. It’s clear that the team at Tokyo Joe puts a lot of thought and care into every aspect of the dining experience. If you’re looking for a memorable Japanese meal in Mykonos, Tokyo Joe is definitely worth a visit!
